The Trials & Tribulations of Potty Training

So potty training has been going really well. She even tells me when we are out and about and has not had an accident in a long time. Last night I was doing the dishes and Olivia was on her rocking horse. I heard her say pee-poo. I went and got her and put her on her potty. I went back into the kitchen to finish the dishes. I hear her in the hallway, "pee-poo, pee-poo." That's not where I left her so I knew something was up. When I came into the hallway I realized she was going pee-poo on a potty it just wasn't her potty.




She was standing over her doll's tiny potty which is about 1 inch high and 3 inches long with pee running down her leg. I had to turn around and walk away so she couldn't see me laughing my butt off. After I calmed down I came back cleaned it up and explained why she couldn't use that potty.

Mommy's Little Cow Girl

Olivia has been obsessed with horses for a while now. We knew we needed to buy her a rocking horse after she tried to ride a tiny ten inch toy horse the other day at Target. She loves her new rocking horse. I asked her what his name was. She said, "Neigh, Neigh." So now his name is Neigh, Neigh.

"Pee, Poo"

Don't you love the pic. I'm sure this will only one of the many things she will hate me for in the future. But it's so cute I couldn't resist.

So Olivia has been going in the potty for awhile now but only when she was naked. When we started putting panties on her she would just go in them. Finally today she has been telling me "pee poo" when she has to go and actually making it to the potty. I think by the end of week we will officially be done with diapers and pull ups except at night.

A Day at the Orchard

Today we went to Gilcrease Orchard with Noah, Melissa and Dan. We had so much fun. We saw zucchinis that were as big as Olivia. She picked some apples. We picked some green tomatoes so I can make fried green tomatoes. Yum! I haven't had them in years and Ricky has never had them. Now I just need some fried chicken livers and mashed potatoes to go with them.
I can't wait to go back when the rest of the fruit is ripe.
